Hi, I’m Kerem Sanus — a photographer, traveler, and explorer currently based in New York City, originally from Turkey.

My interest in photography began in 2007 when I was 12 years old, after I bought Scott Kelby’s photography books. I began putting what I learned into experience by photographing objects and food at home, the streets and architecture of Istanbul, as well as the new cities I visited, and the natural environments around me.

During my university years in Europe, I traveled extensively and gained experience in both urban and landscape photography. It was during this time that I was drawn to “adventure travel,” since then combining travel with photography became one of my greatest passions.

In 2020, I started hiking and wild camping. This allowed me to practice long exposure photography in dark, remote areas.

Over the years, through travels across different countries and landscapes, I selected five distinct photography categories that I believe best represent my work.

As you explore the images, you’ll encounter moments that have been meaningful to me both during my travels and in my everyday life. Some of these moments are shared in more detail in the “Travel Journal” section, where I write about the stories behind the images.
